Isn't a population issue, it's a player attitude issue. If you outnumber spawncamp and then complain, its one of two things.

1) trolling attempt - at which point, well done, you've got some attention. Gold star, your mommy would be *so* proud.

Oh, its this and was known already but some of us were also taking a quick forum break before getting back to work.

While there are some very strong sservers out there who capture all the keeps on eb, it is not ok to just quit and hide in spawn. Servers refuse to come out to fight just hide in spawn are ruining content in WvW and there should be a big fat penalty for this behavior.

Why become a bag when two 50 person boon balls from the other teams are fighting in your garrison or ebg keep wait until the move on and back cap. That is how the game is played

YOU ruined your own content, they're not coming out because of YOUR overly aggressive spawn camping, upgrading, ganking.

Don't complain for a situation and actions YOU ALL forced onto others for years, lol.

MAYBE if you bothered to give them space to come out and play on the map, they would!

Everyone else that played this game for years already knew the consequence for that type of behavior, hence why they don't use those same practices anymore!

YOU ran off your content, now you get to deal with the consequences for your actions.

Enjoy your scrap bags from the 5 idiots at spawn that don't know how to be anything but a lemming!

Two things make me fall asleep in this game if I spend too much time doing them: mindless ktraining and mindless spawncamping.  I really don't understand how some players are able to perform such grinds.  It's interesting for maybe 30m, but hours at a time?  Ugh.

Same here. Well three, mindlessly going back and forth at smc sentries, that and spawn camping were the two things I hated with my time on Mag, clouding is hella fun though, especially when you break down guild groups.

I prefer random fights at random places with random people and groups and seeing random tactics being used.

I love when I run up to groups and pull a couple off a wall or ledge and seeing them scramble, can you get that from spawn camping? nope!

Or when a zerg suddenly ports in behind your group for that oh beep! moment, can you get that spawn camping? nope! well I guess you could but what's the point.

Or that rush when you come in late for a lord defense and manage to push out the attackers with less numbers, can you get that with spawn camping? nope!

Or that disabler play you just did that helped stop siege long enough for a counter siege or for your group to respond and helped save your objective, can you get that with mindless spawn camping? nope!.

Even spending 10 mins ktraining empty objectives, going back and forth at a sentry doing the same beep over and over, spawn camping scraps, killing waves of mobs, is so mindlessly boring that rots my brain.

You can miss out on a lot of unique fun wvw scenarios when you sit there just camping one spot for hours on end, fun is subjective, but I pity those players who thinks that's the epitome of wvw "fun".

In 2 hours when Mag logs on, BG will begin to rage quit and dodge, not mysteriously vanish from the server. Most def. not a population issue.

Oh I see, when you're not playing you're offline, but when someone else isn't playing they're dodging... 🥴

You’re saying “you” like were suppose to read your mind and know “who” your comment is directed at.   You seem upset, perhaps a break from the game for a week will help.   But just so you know, I will enjoy my 50+ heavy loot bags the two hours I play in wvw a day.

The sandbox is more fun when all of it is used. Getting those fights in the middle of no where can be some of the best ones. Had a player try and jump me in the DBL by jumping off a cliff and glide down on me. +1 to ANet on their shadow coding effects. Had shadows on so I could see him coming so I acted like I didn't till their shadow grew big enough I could till they were close. Dismounted reversed and knocked them off their glider and then bagged them. Made me consider shadow factors more after that and reconsider my ambushes approaches when attacking from above.

I get holding a choke point, but that's not the same thing as a spawn point. But I also don't get the people that use hacks either. 'But I won man, you see that! ' No, no I really don't.

They are certainly playing, on desert borderland ppt'ing or as I said, gathered in spawn doing nothing. Mag is literally working class and not online. Imagine there being a difference.

/slow clap

Whoo boy, you got me there! /wiggles fingers

There's this thing called "quotes" you might want to look that up so you figure out how forums work.

I'm disappointed mag, I know you're stacked with new recruits, but surely there's better ones in the litter to send for salt farming the forums.

Enjoy your lemming bags.

Well, BG manages to pop right back up when they get to t2.. somehow...

FA has never showed up when things are rough, it's expected.

BG however.... I'm ashamed FOR them.

There should probably be a big fat penalty for spawn camping behavior too, cause that ruins even more content for other people too. 🤷‍♂️

I thought that punishment was supposed to be those Champions Spawns in the starting area. But that feature was very poorly done that most people don't even use it anymore.   🙄

When that feature was first added I was thinking it would be more like the Ancient Druid/Shaman escort mechanic in Old AV from WoW. But unlike those NPCs, the Champion in the starter area escort mission doesn't do much and is super weak in comparison.  That's why that feature failed and starting areas continue to be camped.

Solution:

Make the Starter Area Champions far stronger with better Anti Zerg combat AI tactics to maw down incoming zergs and defend the weaker and in many cases, smaller number ally players.  Do more than just attack the nearby towers. Should March the whole map from one side to the side that control the keep and end its massive push there. That could shuffle the battlefield during times like this. The MAG stuff wouldn't be as bad if they did this originally with the Champion idea.

But oh well. To late now.

The most obvious and expedient solution to low content problems is the same as it's always been: transfer off your stacked server.  No need to wait for Anet to "do something".

It's only 500 gems for a medium populated server.  Or start investing in an alt.

"YOU ruined your own content, they're not coming out because of YOUR overly aggressive (playing the gamemode as intended), (playing the gamemode as intended), (playing the gamemode as intended)."

Thank you for the insightful comment. We'll learn from this and hold hands with the other servers and sing kumbaya from now on.

Finally you got it! Treating your enemies as enemies is extremely toxic and has to end!

Sounds like we have someone on a server that can only fight when they have a 4to1 advantage. Amirite?

Why do you think that anyone has to join your unintelligent and low skilled cloud garbage gaming and even call it issue?

random people running randomly around dropping random skills around the area? Yaaaaaaawwwwnnnnnn.

i saw a maguuma streamer couple of days ago some girl playing tempest saying on stream that she actually had no clue what she is doing just running with the cloud and pressing random support skills…

if alliances arrives and shuffles all randoms into matchups randomly you see more shrinking player numbers in wvw as who plays this ogrewatch gaming every day?
yaaaaaaaaaawwwwnnnn dude!

anet should better work on an guild vs guild system already to save these player numbers by moving guildplay to a different gamemode.

you can run around with all your alt accounts across all matchups trying to find „content“ then.

you just cloudswarm and gank every solo roamer or smallscale groups for month and wonder why you have „no content“ and demand them to come back?

loooooooooooooool
