Did Chromium Embedded Framework go live? [Merged]

It was mentioned in the tweet announcing the patch, and the studio update yesterday said it was coming today.  Things seem to be loading faster, but the Linux users still need the vk child window patch, and it seems like CoherentUI is still a process that's used. (Which is why we need the patch...) There was no mention of the UI revamp in the patch notes, though.

omg... You were publicizing this even in a post on a MMORPG site about GW2 and on Twitter, and now it comes with this that you don't even know the date anymore wtf

That happens. Press releases go out some time before actual implementation, so they can be posted on time. So, if something goes wrong at the last moment (say, devs found out a major bug), there's not much they can do about it.

Would you rather see them put a bugged code in game just so you are satisfied they kept the schedule?

Yea issues happens but in this patch everything had problems, that's why it would be interesting to have a test server but they prefer to launch directly to the live without being sure it's working. WvW which is the "cornerstone mode" is now broken with everyone getting tier bronze with less exp while we don't have 1 post about what went wrong yesterday and what will happen now.
Even after the patch was being announced that the CEF was implemented, it also seems that they are not careful with the content posted on social media, such as the free mount incident.

Apologies for the incorrect information in the Studio Update blog! Due to some last-minute issues, we had to postpone the upgrade of the Chromium Embedded Framework. We still plan to deploy it at a later date, but we're not sure when at this point.

Honestly, I hope this won't be scrapped and be sent to the long list of "on the table".

So best of luck with it and hopefully sooner than later. If it's postponed right before going live then most of the work already done I'd like to believe.

There was never any mention of any sort of UI revamp.. CoherentUI is just used for specific bits of functionality.

It is not used for the game's general UI which seems to use Scaleform GFx
