Boonball meta is bad

Ill keep shouting, make some 2 or 3  skills strip dedicated strongest boons rather strip through  RNG and spam.

Spellbreaker WoD should added the quickness target, this could make players play better rather stack perma quickness and spam

Some Chrono well could steal alacrity from targets.

Reaper  could remove resistance or resolution on some low range melee skill, could have 2 traits competing with each other.

What happens if the counter to boonball is positioning?  With Anet nerfing strips across all classes, buffing boon uptime, and upping damage, one could argue that they want everyone to be in the zerg.  If you just happen to misstep and get punished for your own bad positioning despite all the boons, that's on you, not your zerg.

Positioning was always the answer to aoes, but removing strips just makes those aoe danger zones a lot less dangerous, it removes the random element that screams at you to gtfo. There's groups now that will just stand next to each flinging poo and not moving much. The successful groups will just stack numbers and train track over everything and everyone, worse when they had superspeed and group stealth on every push. 

Just feels like they're dumbing down combat again cause players are too stupid to figure out positioning, just like combo fields, players are too dumb to play with them effectively so just phase it out.

Reminds me of that story of schools removing analog clocks cause students couldn't tell time. Remove the teaching tool instead of making students learn how to use it.

Kinda wutface to me that 7-9 out of 36 specs occupy 3/5 group spots, and sometimes 4/5 for smaller groups because of support.

Or just give every class one boon that lasts 60 minutes. It's like that anyway now if you bring enough boon bots

Oh man, what a fantastic idea for a WvW event week: Guardian-only match!  More guardians and everyone with 60 min boons!

What about everyone having a guardian pet instead in full minstrel gear always healing?

You still practically get the event you want - or better if its a guard only zerg,  about 450 guardians fighting at once in a zoneblob 3-way - I get the amusement I need.

Just throwing this here, but what if we had the "social awkwardness" instability from fractals on in WvW? People wouldn't be able to stack so much and would share less boons overall? Maybe it would encourage the use of more medium-sized groups on more parts of the map instead of a huge zerg? I'd like to see it tested during a WvW event.

Maybe some way of barely buffing burn guard multi target mechanic for 5+ targets specifically (damage ramp up when many targets standing in hits) to make it so they have to dodge out of the circles or do something other than facetank everything with numbers all the time 24/7 in the most boring low skill way ever. Not that burn guard takes a high IQ or anything.. lol. 

Don't buff anything else on guardian please, lots of stuff needs nerfs on it probably such as willybender. Don't buff anything that would scale down to small groups or roaming since guard is already too strong at that.

Honestly would not mind if a few other professions get a sort of build that is kinda useless vs single target but if enemies just stand still in a huge group in a boring manner they get punished more for passive hand holdy play. We need more builds for people to use vs pure numbers low effort/low skill zergs when outnumbered to even the odds and punish mindless clumping. Make people smash that dodge key. Frankly tired of seeing huge tryhard comps being borderline immortal while playing vs pugs in their keeps since half the day the game is dead except for those groups. If no effort will be made to fix matchups, time zones or any such thing then... Spice it up. Make it so these groups at least have to think or react to something instead of tabbing out and watching youtube.

I don't wanna buff clouding when outnumbered toooo much but at this point things can be pretty nutty for no legitimate reason.

kinda appears the devs are forcing metas more and more. it's hard not to be worried by that approach as this is the same group that designed eod specs which see very little usage in wvw (and imo are generally quite poorly designed).

ultimately tho, and as someone alluded to earlier, they have been attacking the skill ceiling for several years now. the aim seems to be, more and more, to make the game easier for bad players and worse for everyone else. it's unfortunate and will (imo) ultimately irreparably damage the gamemode as without veteran skilled players the organised content for everyone will suffer.

So if every class gets every boon on autos...  puuuurrrrfect balance since every one is on equal step riiight? sounds ok on paper but in reality  it would not be ok lol.. and that's part of the problem that game is sufering due how Anet wants to enforce the perma all boons across the game.

Every class gets exactly 1 boon that it can share with 4 other people. So, if you want a boon you need to bring the proper class 4 times for your raid and stacking one class doesn't help you.

I'm not trying to be serious here, but this would be more balanced than the boon fiesta with mandatory FB in every group

you are all far too focused on boons. They are not the reason you and your pugs can't even deal damage to the enemy zerg.

Healers are the reason.

It's unbelievable how seemingly noone realises just how bonkers overpowered healers are in this game. Not only are they so tanky that you need several glass cannons to even kill them but they heal everyone around them for absurd amounts.

Imagine a ventari healer or a tempest in any other game like LoL for example. They heal everyone around them including themselves like soraka can heal one other teammate but are as tanky as the best tank and even share extremely powerful buffs with their teammates (like projectile destruction, stability, auras, barriers etc.)
