Mistonium density

They are literally 3 cubes embedded between them, and it drops only one small crystal? .... anyway... isn't that in reality. Will not do PvP just for these things..

They're the same as most of the LS3 ones. IIRC only Winterberries are a guaranteed drop, the other are approx. 1-in-3. (I'm unsure about Orrian Oysters, though)

@hugo.4705 said:Of course, what I'm pointing out is the fact you have 1 mistonium ore for 40 volatile magics around him.

Pretty sure its not 1 mistonium per node, it minimum 0-3 per node (maybe even 0-2), just like the other nodes introduce of late, like bloodstone rubies... RNG is fun.Don't worry your gunna max your mistonium stashes before you even get a third of the way through your first armour set due to the constraints of the Superior Sigil of Profit Manipulation ( errrm I meant nullification, honest) unless your prepared to drain your gold or buy some gems.

^^this, next episode is probably 3 to 4 months away, Halloween won't bring much new stuff. You have time for this. Sure the rewards could be better and mistonium could drop like there's no tomorrow, but would it ever be enough? Wanting more because more is more and faster is faster does not make a good argument. The sigil thing is a different story I guess.

Uh, okay. 25 per map completion, 5 per heart task, 5 per unique rift event, 5 for "Joko", 5 for djinn escort and boss, 5 for shatterer. It's no worse than the Season 3 nodes as all but Bitterfrost Frontier berries and Siren's Landing pearls had a chance at dropping the map currency.

Assuming first time through the map, doing all those events nets you 75 just from that. There are a ton of mist-touched Caches out there that have one in them guaranteed and not to mention the nodes that give an average of one per 3 strikes. At the end of a few daily reset runs through on a new toon with no Jahai map comp, I got 80 to 100. On a toon with Jahia Map comp, the lowest I got was 50 with the highest being about 70. That 50 is repeatable per toon, I believe, as the rift events, tasks, "Joko", Djinn, and Shatterer events are all character bound daily. The Tactical Overlay thing has a path I follow every day to get majority of mistonium daily.

Bloodstone Fen
.FTFY. It's not really that bothersome for me since I don't really care about what's on the vendor, but I can see how it would be a problem. The nodes are exactly like Blood Ruby nodes. As soon as I saw I got nothing at all, I had Bloodstone Fen flashbacks.

It seems to me that Mistonium nodes have a remarkably higher chance to drop the currency than Bloodstone Crystals.

After the full gathering route I'm happy if I end up with 3 Blood Rubies, whereas 90% of the Mistonium nodes I've farmed have dropped at least one. Not to mention that the Mist caches usually drop one as well.

Could be I've just been super lucky with the nodes and caches so far, but we have to remember there are 3 hearts and events all over the place that drop a few after completion. There aren't any hearts in Bloodstone Fen, and the events are far more scarce too.

So Mistonium and Blood Rubies aren't really comparable.

I am not convinced that the mist touched caches drop a guaranteed mistonium.. could be wrong, but I am sure that's not what I have got every time. Not that it really matters, Mistonium has various guaranteed avenues of supply, backed up by other means, none of which come at a cost other than time. The sigil on the other hand is a whole different issue and is going to be the bigger bug bear in all this for many players. As I said many plyers will be swimming in Mistonium long before they have accrued enough sigils unless they bite the bullet and pay the TP inflated pricing bullcrap

If you have several alts, the way to do this quickly is to spend a couple hours game time to do map complete and all three hearts on each alt.

Do the Poster Child achievement on your main to get the Sun's Refuge portal scroll; put that in a shared inventory slot and bring all of your alts over.

It takes maybe 30 mins to do map complete on mounts if you just rush through and avoid combat. Add 10-20 mins to run through all the hearts per character, once you've figured out the optimal methods/paths. Add in whatever you get from nodes and mist-touched caches and it is about 1 mistonium per minute or maybe a bit faster. I got it down to about 25-30 mins per character after a few runs.

If you do this close to reset, you can then rerun the hearts on each alt for another 15 mistonium per alt. If you've got 10 alts...well you just farmed 550+ mistonium over maybe a weekend.

That's what I did. It's boring as heck to rush through and repeat many times. I don't actually like playing alts and I was happy to be back on my main when that nonsense was done.

And now the nonsense is done you have no reason to go back to that map again. I think that's the biggest failing of this chapter. A good map that's not worth coming back to after a short while. At least that's how it seems to me at the moment.

Which can be said for every map in the game that doesn’t have a farm like SW and Istan. Once you’ve gotten what you needed, you typically don’t go back.

Well that's true, however, trinkets go a much longer way when you have multiple characters to equip. Every time you get a new toon to 80 there's another round. Not with cosmetics which are unlocked once for all characters to use.

But that could be personal of course. It just seems I get more mileage out of maps with trinkets for sale.
