Blude.6812
Why am I getting links to Fuser from Anet in my e-mail? It has nothing to do with the game nor is it anything I would ever want. Looking at the message source says it is coming from Anet.At least my e-mail client send it to the junk box.
Randulf.7614
Anyone subscribed to guildwars2@ncsoft.com will get it. NcSoft are using it to advertise the product

Blude.6812
Thanks for the info and clarification.Well that sucks. I don't mind game news etc, but hate unrelated useless spam and companies that abuse their mailing list by spamming unrelated products regardless of who is the publisher. Oh well time to hit my options.
Healix.5819
Looks like ncsoft mistakenly sent it through the gw2 newsletter. They had sent out something similar a few days ago through newsletters@ncsoft.com to announce it was coming out on November 10. This new one is the followup to that. Inculpatus cedo.9234
I don't know if it is accidental, or purposeful. You do sign up to 'newsletters @ ncsoft.com' (sans spaces, of course) when signing up for GW2's newsletter. I suspect it is purposeful; I don't really mind hearing about new games available from our publisher. Though, not interested in that one.
Fueki.4753
I just assumed it's from one of the many spam mailers that have been popping up left and right since the pandemic started.
Ashen.2907
I am not subscribed to receive update e-mails or anything else of the sort from GW2 and yet keep receiving messages regarding something called FUSER from GW2. Stop.
Donari.5237
Check this thread: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/118136/fuserSeems to have some more detailed discussion on what's going on.
Friday.7864
I wouldn't have minded if it was just one email. Kinda like "Hey, we released a new game so check it out if you want"Then they sent another and I unsubscribed...

Considering there's seperate options on the GW2 account page for recieving news about Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2 and "Arenanet and NCSoft family of products" I'd expect to get emails about other games only if that third one is accepted. I think initially it signs you up for all 3 togther, but it should be possible to disable the NCSoft one and only get news about Guild Wars 1 & 2. If they continue to send NCSoft news to those mailing lists that would be pretty annoying, and in the EU it's illegal.

Blude.6812
Funny when I went to may account settings NOT ONE of the 3 options were turned on. So either there is a bug or NCSoft is ignoring my choice not to receive any of their news letters.
firedragon.8953
If this is purposeful marketing, the marketing team has to wake up. I find it hard to believe many GW2 players are going to be interested in Fuser (1 in 300 maybe?). It is a bit obnoxious as well since it only has news for that one game, and it isn't something that I received only once. I never get GW2 news though. Is there no more GW2 newsletters? Inculpatus cedo.9234
Yes, there are GW2 newsletters. The latest one was sent around November 5th, 2020.It was the Icebrood Saga: Champions one.
