  1. Pretty much right away. The writing would be on the wall and putting a lot more time or money into the game wouldn't feel worthwhile.
  2. I don’t play WvW very actively at the moment although I did in the past. I like small scale and roaming over zerg or blob play and worry that Alliances will essentially promote GvG or blob play over anything else. I’ve also been on the same server since launch and really missed seeing the usual crew in map or team chat. Not convinced Alliances will make me want to play WvW more in the future.
  3. The only time it matters to me is hitting the milestones where the reward chests contain 400 gems and 30g. It’s a nice bonus but doesn’t happen enough to incentivise chasing AP.
  4. I had some chance to play with Vindicator. The impression I get is that someone at Anet was very into the concept of the legendary alliance of Archemorus and St Viktor and stuck with it even when it was hard to translate into gameplay. The flip over skills of beta 1 made me feel like I was playing some kind of matching pairs mini game. In beta 2 we’re flipping between 3 legends with F1 and F3. I’m not sure either feels right but at least the current system is easier to keep track of. It’s notable that both heals and both elites are not working well and both need buffing or in the case of the urn another look altogether. I quite like the great sword implementation. I think GS2 needs more range, and I’m having a hard time overlooking the reuse of the gravedigger animation on GS5. It’s been unique to reaper for so long that seeing it here always looks wrong to me. My overall impression is that despite reservations about having two legends this is one of the better specs as of beta 2.
  5. Imagine if a revised town clothes system was coming with skiff and fishing social features, fishing peacefully in full combat armour doesn't look quite right to me.
  6. If I understood right you're suggesting to be able to renter the makeover kit within 15 minutes of committing your changes. For those occasions when you realise what you thought was perfect in the kit interface doesn't look quite right in world. Yeah, would be a good change, especially since weapons and backpieces aren't shown in the kit and they can clip with hairs, horns etc.
  7. I don't really see how it could be anything else? I'm not very enthusiastic about what has been shown so far, particularly comparing to the quality of HoT and PoF, but I wouldn't be interested in the expansion at all if I didn't still want more GW2. I'm not really expecting them to reinvent the wheel at this stage in terms of gameplay.
  8. Couldn't bring myself to vote that I was 'satisfied', but at the same time it's not a realistic expectation that any of the specialisations could be remade from scratch at this point.
  9. I quite like that GW2 mixes fantasy with technology/sci-fi themes. I think at times asura-tech been leaned on too much to resolve major plot points. Jade-tech is probably going to be more of the same, if only it were not so eye-wateringly bright green to the point that it overwhelms everything else.
  10. Expansion-worthy feature right there. I thought Arborstone looked nice, nothing wrong with having a local hub, even if we have done similar things with EotN and Sun's Refuge. But you have an hour stream, why not show some events? It's stretching credibility that there isn't any gameplay that could be shown that isn't a critical spoiler.
  11. It’s reasonable feedback because allowing a single player to use more of the mount features improves the turtle for any player that doesn’t spend 100% of their playtime in a party. That’s probably most people. The turtle is supposed to be one of the major features of the expansion, but limiting its usefulness to co-op play is likely to make it very niche. At the same time the turtle will remain the only mount that can be used co-op, and there’s nothing to stop you inviting people to play in your turtle if you want to.
  12. I'd prefer for the bladesongs to be faster, not be projectiles, and to be usable regardless of facing. Unblockable on every shatter would be a bit much, although some limited access to unblockable via a utility or trait would be fine (just not on block or evade because that's not helpful). A ground-targeted F2 (replacing the confusion application along with the condition damage traitline ...) would be nice.
  13. How about we make them useful first and then worry about hiding them.
  14. I don’t care about the pre-order bonuses, so I’ll make a decision when the expansion is actually out and I can decide whether it’s something I’m going to want to put time into. There are other games coming out in Q1 2021 as well.
  15. Honestly OP I’d look at how your controls are set up as some of the posters above have suggested. This isn’t a common complaint at all. Personally I think the PoF mounts are some of the best I’ve seen implemented in any game.
  16. It’s easy to be happy if you have zero expectations. If we’re being asked to pay for an expansion it’s reasonable to have some expectations, not least that the new specialisations will be viable outside of open world PvE.
  17. It does feel like the best ideas had already been used up in HoT and PoF, be that specialisations, mounts or features like fishing. The new map content and story could still be really great, but since so little has been shown it’s hard to know.
  18. I don’t see them being especially relevant unless there is content that requires them. Generally speaking in open world meta events and bosses, it’s going to be more effective to use your character abilities.
  19. Based on what we’ve seen, you can fish from it. Otherwise I imagine everyone will still use the skimmer for travel on water.
  20. It would be great if that were true but that’s where two-way feedback is really important. They could have said something along the lines “further changes are planned to address other feedback. Our priority for this beta was to fix a large number of bugs and the interaction of virtuoso and core Mesmer traits”. But they didn’t. And there’s a very small window to make further changes, which as far as I know we won’t get to test again. So reasonable to expect it not to happen.
  21. Better than distortion (or continuum split if playing chrono)? Because it does 'dps'? Now I have heard everything.
  22. I guess it’s ok if the turtle reaches its maximum potential with a co-pilot, but it’s currently too limited as a single player to the point that it doesn’t even feel worth using.
  23. What is it for? Is there specific content in EoD that requires the turtle? Having the cannons limited to the second player feels really restrictive and makes using the mount pretty boring. The ground slam doesn’t feel powerful, the turtle has a decent health pool but it was usually quicker just to dismount and kill mobs using my character. The rocket jump didn’t have much height and couldn’t clear some walls/barriers. The jump felt floaty and didn’t convey the weight of the animal. Masteries will no doubt help but it isn’t anything I’m excited about.
  24. I doubt even Arenanet knows for sure since it depends on how successful End of Dragons is, the ongoing commercial viability of Guild Wars 2, and to an extent the whims of NCsoft. I think it's possible that EoD could be the last expansion, the game is already 9 years old after all, but not necessarily the end of new content of any kind.
