  1. you can't say something like that. The ele circlejerk community says that ele is the weakest class and that only downstate skills matter for ele.
  2. This ^ aside from those 2-4 hours prime time wvw is dead on so many of the regional servers. What is stopping anet from combining them or linking 3-4 "dead" servers together instead of just 2. It's honestly not fun to log in, see that we are outnumbered and that there are like 5 other teammembers on that map and then log off again.
  3. That is enough for functioning weapons like dagger mainhand or axe offhand. I would argue even 100 blades would still be ok if the damage it deals would be threatening on a berserker stat warrior. But weapons like sword (both main- and offhand) are so incredible bad and outdated and slow there is now way to fix this weapon without a proper rework.
  4. imo shield bash should be what bull's charge is right now. It should be a decent gap closer. Maybe without the evade if that would be to strong but definitly in the 900 range department.

  6. engineer shield 4 is a good example for how such a skills should look like. And imo even magnetic aura is far to strong for how often tempest can use it AND give it to 4 allies around them.

  8. reducing the aftercast and overall "clunckyness" of the weapon should be number one priority. When you don't fully complete the autoattack chain (because you want to f1 or any other skill) there is almost a whole second where the warrior does nothing and no skill gets activated. Give sword 2 a 600 aoe hit radius similar to guardian greatsword leap. Because guardian gs 3 reliably hits enemies (as long as you don't leap downwards) and warrior sword 2 never hits a moving enemy. This skill could oneshot people and most players would not care about it because it never hits. Sword 3 needs a range increase and a cast time decrease. You should also reliably be able to weapon stow the f1 skill. Sometimes i can't even move my character for the whole duration of the kitten animation that lasts way too long because for some goddamn reason i can't stop the animation with moving or weapon stowing. And all of those skills need their aftercasts completely removed. Sword is honestly in such a bad state and i was not even talking about offhand sword. Offhand sword should just be reworked completely because imo there is nothing to save here it's just so bad. Remove the projectile (imaple) and replace it with something that is actually usefull, we have projectiles on axe and greatsword already and projectiles suck in this meta.
  9. either the anet devs change the heal skill you have into a stunbreak with cast time when you choose the trait reactive lenses or (and i think that is far more likely even if i don't like it at all) the stunbreak will simply be lost to random balance decisions.
  10. could the trait "Resolute Subconscious" also get the treatment of being activated when using a heal skill? Because right now the skill grants 3 seconds of aegis once when you get cc'ed with a 60 second cd and that is pretty abysmal in terms of useability.
  11. It will cleanse one condi yes. And you are dreaming if you think heal skills would be instant or that the stunbreak part of the skill won't be lost. Lesser utility goggles main reason was the additional stunbreak and not the 2 seconds of resistance (even if it is 3 now and one condi cleanse lol). In pve noone takes that skill anyway and in wvw and pvp the stunbreak part was what made the skill ok. It just got randomly deleted from existance.

  13. there is nothing to discuss because this is the truth. There is no direction for anything. Any dps rotation feels random just like it's totaly random which class will be good and which class will be at the bottom of the barrel. Skills getting buffed or nerfed not by 5% or 10% but by huge amounts of several 100% or the damage gets taken away fully. Extreme differences occur even in open world where some classes are so braindead op and easy to play and littered with sustain and inbuild tankyness while having multiple times the solo dps of other classes with far less surviveability. I mean the offensive and defensive jade tech protocols help quite a lot with reducing the power gap between classes but it is such a bandaid fix and super annoying to reapply this buff every 1-2 hours.
  14. there is an enormous difference in what classes can do on their own. Generally all classes are "viable" for open world but some classes are simply so much better you will simply breeze through any open world content without any kind of effort. Untamed is one of those classes. You can also try harbinger if you have the condi gear or reaper with just normal berserker/marauder stats. 15k-20k (depends on your gear ofc) solo dps with reaper and just shroud autoattacks is completly normal. Anything below elites just melts away so fast because mobs are not made for this kind of dps in open world. And at the same time you are also incredibly tanky because of your second hp bar. Harbinger deals even more damage with just facerolling and pressing shroud 2 on cd but has a bit less cleave (but you give perma quickness to everyone around you). You also have less hp but you are ranged. When you want equal damage as a solo warrior you have to go pretty much full glass. And if you want equal sustain you will deal alot less damage. If you have EoD you can also use the Jade Tech offensive/defensive protocols on any open world map. Then you can basicly use any raid build because you have all boons at any time and everything just dies so fast the game feels more like diablo than guild wars.

  16. ha the same thing happened after the feb2020 patch when the damage got nerfed in wvw. Core warrior got nerfed hard and spellbreaker had the unnerfed version of arcing slice for several weeks before it was fixed. Just this time it's the other way around.
  17. What do you care about when playing a class? The looks and lore behind it or the general gameplay? Do you prefer easy to play classes or do you like classes with a higher skill ceiling and/or high apm? Do you need several different build options for your class or is it enough if your class is good at e.g. dps?
  18. A big problem here is superspeed aswell. Sword 2 or dagger F1/2 will not hit targets that run in circles around you while they have superspeed. Those skills were not designed with superspeed in mind but today superspeed is so abundant that this is a really big problem for those weapons. Sword 2 is alot more unreliable in general but even dagger will never hit a target moving with superspeed.
  19. I agree with all points. It is very obvious (sadly so) that anet did not have the same manpower for EoD as they did with PoF and HoT. The maps look barren and bland (echovald is the worst expac map in the game, everything looks the same and so ugly with that green fog everywhere) and half of the new elite specs aswell. No runes and barely new attribute combinations, nothing for pvp and wvw. I really hope the steam sale will be a great financial success so we can maybe see some updates and improvements to existing content in the future. Maybe we are lucky and get a rework for bladesworn in one or two years, but atm idc about bladesworn at all.
  20. it doesn't just seem broken, it is broken. Same goes for daredevil after the SA rework. You either stick with the boonball or the small horde of thirsty thief players (huge majority of all roamers play this class .. i wonder why) that is always present around the boonball is going to teach you how a real gamer is playing this game. FUN.

  22. Any rework for sword would be nice. And your suggestions would actually be really awesome. Anything to remove the aftercasts and clunkyness of this absolutely outdated and almost worthless weapon. The mobility part of sword 2 is the only thing that keeps it "semi alive". But because there are only about 5 devs working for anet and they are busy with different things in this game any rework other than pure numbers changes is just wishful thinking and is (veeeery likely) never going to happen.
  23. too bad it will take years for the random crowd to acknowledge that guard is not op. Tbh Firebrand is fine the way it is now, maybe qFB dmg is a little low but you have utility in the form of your tomes and as long as the quickness stays FB will be used in pve. Dragonhunter and Willbender however are in a sad state right now. But noone cares about that because the current circlejerk is that guard is op and should be nerfed into the ground. You cannot talk to the circlejerk people, they live in their bubble and are unable to realise what this patch did to guard. This reminds me of what happened to warrior years ago when the circlejerk opinion was that warrior was op and should be nerfed into the ground and that circlejerk continued untill most of warrior was trash. The warrior forum activity back then was extremely low so noone spoke up to it. I have not played guard for long and i liked the cWB and DH gameplay but right now it's simply not worth it to play guard for the dps role anymore. Support FB is all that is left atm. Maybe the nerf to guard was accidental though, you never now with anet, and they did not take into consideration how big of an impact sun spirit would have on guard, so there is a chance that WB will receive some buffs in exchange for it.
  24. it has been so long since hammer was useful, i don't even remember it anymore... and anet did nothing in all those years to improve it, they even knocked it down further with the feb2020 patch. But hammer is not the only weapon that needs a complete overhaul. Sword offhand is at the same level of power as hammer, meaning it's absolutely worthless. Sword mainhand is almost as bad and is also in dire need of a rework. Well rifle and longbow aswell... and many individual skills on other weapons that are stuck in the year 2012. The only way for this game to actually come back to life again is if anet is willing to put in the work and remove the dross that accumulated over all these years. All those useless, clunky and outdated traits, skills and abilities have to be reworked and/or replaced by actual useful skills. Yeah as if that's ever going to happen 😉 Oh and another thing that has made hammer worse even in pve: the introduction of breakbars. Prior to breakbars warriors could stunlock npcs for a very long time as a means of defense. This is no longer possible as almost every elite mob and higher (so especially those npcs that are dangerous) are immune to cc for 95% of the time.
  25. delusional, absolutely delusional. You have become the very thing you swore to destroy. It's the same thing that is happening to guard now that happened to warrior all those years ago. FB has already nothing left but it's quickness generation. The other guardian elites are also extremely underperforming right now. Bladesworn is pushing 39k dps while willbender has a hard time with even 33k and DH is not even getting close to 30k. FB dps build is also dead. And that alone would be fine (for FB not for Willbender or Dragonhunter) because FB is still a good support, as long as the quickness remains. But stop with your unjustified hatred towards other classes. Anet should put effort into warrior and improve weapons and skills for warrior and not nerf another class into nonexistence. I agree with most of your posts here but this ignorant guardian hate especially here in the warrior forum is really something i have a very hard time to understand.
