  1. Ya they really need to make all skills do the same things in each game mode. It's okay if it's 2 seconds of burning in one, 6 in another, etc. But when skills change they use between modes, you're just going to create a lot of confusion.
  2. As much as I hate the idea of allying with maguuma, it's better than fighting against them... Haha kitten Spawn Campers.
  3. I love how it got me to revisit the rest of the game. Not for any particular reason, just because the content is more fun. One day I'll finish the EOD story and explore the last two zones. But I'm glad I was reminded of how masterfully the core game and hot were made. 🙂
  4. I love playing Warrior and Mesmer in open world. The competitive game modes where I used to spend most of my gametime have devolved. But the open world is as fun as ever. This is gw2s strength. So pick your favorite classes and explore.
  5. I love most of this, but please don't make skills play and feel significantly different in each game mode. Longbow on Warrior sucks in PvP and isn't that strong in wvw. You could easily reduce the aftercast and add the daze in both modes and not affect balance. However, it'll feel consistent and help newer players enter competitive mode because PvE rotations will still work in the other modes. Having less damage/duration is fine, but changing cast times, aftercast and effects is just bad design. Please go over all these changes with the balance team and ensure you can implement them into PvP & wvw the ones that change how the skills work. But they need to be consistent. Even if they have to take a small damage nerf. This goes for all professions. Thanks for sharing this. I hope you hear this feedback as I think it's very important.
  6. Ya melee pistol was a funny way to tell the players they care. I wanted to see one of two things: A staff martial arts support, or a double pistol ranged alchemy master (basically harbinger with warrior flavor).
  7. True dat. Spellbreaker needs to be a better boon stripper, and they need to bring back some damage to certain cc's. Especially some in the warrior kit. If you can play disruption, countering opponents magics, than you are playing spellbreaker. It doesn't need a new role, it needs to do it's role better.
  8. Berserker was more fun when you had to choose between unleashing a burst and enter zerk mode.
  9. My favorites would be Mesmer, Warrior & Elementalist. With special mention to Revenant, whome I both love and hate. Very buggy. I don't like Specter, Druid, Deadeye, Holo, Mechanist, Firebrand, Renegade (No-terrain Kalla), Vindicator, Bladesworn (used to be fun in PvE when it was a gimmick 1 shot mechanic, with 800k crits. But it's design is sloppy) If I could make any specs, they would be: Greatsword Thief (Person to person teleports, heals for equal duration as stealth. Heals for every target he blinds. Basically, a teleporting unstoppable juggernaught that is constantly latching to people, not super high damage, but kind of leaps from shadow to shadow. But cannot stealth, and has no additional locational teleports. It's all about staying in a fight by evading strikes by moving between people. Then stabbing them in the back for massive damage if you extract enough shadow energy Torch Elementalist (mainhand with weaponswap) which upkeeps a flame that empowers his fire skills. Torch 3 starts the fire buff. Fire attunment has no cooldown, but you can double attune when you build enough heat (from your flame upkeep). You grow the flame by attuning to fire and then air, but lose some if attuning to earth or water. If you reach a threshold on heat, you can double attune to fire to get extra skills. These skills are the same across any weapons. But they deal massive aoe damage, like an archon mode. You gain huge buffs and take reduced damage and damage all foes who get close. However, while in this mode, you take constant damage, the only way to remove this effect is attuning into water and earth, and it'll reduce flame intensity, but it doesn't just turn off right away. The gameplay is managing this buff (flame) after you activate it with your torch, and trying to keep yourself as hot as possible to unlock the Flame Archon mode and purge off some heat with water and earth to prevent yourself from melting under your own heat. Monk Warrior with staff that is specialized at hitting pressure points, he can spec for either massive delayed damage or massive instant/delayed healing. He basically hits people with his staff to heal them, or bashes them with his staff to debilitate and ultimately kill his enemies. He's mostly a support, but can manage well due to his burst damage. He'll have concentrations as utilities, life force powered abilities, that allow him to escalate the healing or debilitations. Has got 1 utility that allows him to focus to remove conditions, 15 second cooldown, 3 conditions. Otherwise, no condi removal extra. He doesn't have condi clense for allies (without shouts), but has huge ranged targeted concentrations and strong self buffs (hitting his own pressure points). Phantom Guardian with extra weapon kit (like holo) that is kind of like a giant hand. It can be used to smack people around or hold them, and also shield allies or block attacks from one direction. It's like a heavenly palm that the Phantom uses to control the battlefield. They use Shield Main hand, and have wells, which are giant punches from space from your Phantom hand. They continue to affect the area. This is a support defensive character, who would aim to prevent allies from taking damage and keep enemies controlled. No boon support of note. Just constantly bombarding and smacking the battlefield with a giant blue hand. That's all I can come up with now, but I'm sure a lot of great ideas are around to draw inspiration from.
  10. Ya for sure, I hated mirage design at the start because of how easy it was to spam dodges, from higher vigor uptime, to energy sigil being a full dodge, mirage felt a bit oppressive, but today, I'd love to see it reversed.
  11. "Virtuoso was always intended as a designated support. But we found that Fury was not attractive enough on its own, so we're giving it group quickness, something Mesmer players have been asking for..." Who?!? "To balance this, we're buffing engineer rifle skill 1 by 200%. We feel this will leave Mesmer where they belong... In the dumps " Haha But seriously, this thread is dangerous. I realize many people reading this stuff have no foundation in reality to interpret our words. We might actually get Mesmer nerfed... 😅 I actually agree with teapot that Mesmer right now could be fixed with number changes alone. Chrono needs longer boon durations, and a small change to it's traits, to allow it to be the low damage alacrity and quickness support at the same time. Mirage should get it's damage buffed, same as virtuoso. Mirage and virtuoso have different enough flavors I don't mind them both being high damage. If Chrono did both alacrity and quickness, the devs could give up on buffing the damage.
  12. I'd take a look at mesmer CCs. Most classes deal 1-2 damage with their CCs, but mesmer has too much CC. So instead, mesmer CC should heal enemies. I also think that clones should all look like phantasms, but phantasms should look more pink, possibly with more butterflies. Then I'd nerf mesmer stealth. Half the stealth duration, but every time you enter stealth you get 2 initiative. But don't give any actual initiative, call it a bug, remove it eventually, and add it back for a next elite spec. Do not rebuff the stealth time. There's more, but I'm tired.
  13. You haven't seen multiplicity? Eventually, it's natural for my clones to... begin to... deviate... from my usual self. I'd like an army of explosives rats.
  14. I want to customize my mesmer clones too. =D
  15. I was wondering the same thing lately. Probably the biggest deterrent to maining rev. Would love some developer feedback.
  16. Probably the most significant update GW2 could ever receive... Maybe release it at the same time as alliances... Or when warrior banners are good again... I'll show myself out...
  17. I think spellbreaker with alacrity (and slows) and bladesworn with quickness makes more sense (with a trait that makes charging gunsaber faster with quickness). Berserker should be the damage spec, both condi and power. As far as I can tell, it needs to be doing about 37-40kdps to be viable, and the support options should be doing between 30-35kdps.
  18. Warrior Banners should come with a collection skill that grabs all banners in a 600 yard radius. The warrior skill bar doesn't change. When the warrior wants, he can reactivate the skill a third time to replace the banners on the ground. So basically, banners have 3 skills, drop, pickup all, and drop all. Then you can move them around easily, while maintaining your rotation.
  19. I'm of the opinion that Herald should gain quickness on Energy drain amount instead of consume. Then you'd be able to pulse out Quickness with any legend, but dragon stance would be the best at quickness output, being able to maximize energy drain unlike other legends. You'd then be able to use your utility skills with the tradeoff of losing some quickness duration per pulse. But it would flow as part of the rotation and swapping to a new legend would allow you to maintain the upkeep of quickness by using their respective energy drain skills.
  20. I really appreciate the openness and update. I think there's still a lot to address, but I think from a PvE perspective, this helps a lot to address some of the usefulness of the new changes. I still think quickness for consume skills on herald is too low. But I'd go a different route. I'd change it to give quickness based on your energy drain. So that way, you get a ton of quickness keeping your facets on (more than you need), and rewarded for using your skills at the right time. Then, you can also profession swap and get a bit of quickness to tide you over until your next swap. Although herald has the highest capacity for energy drain, all legends have at least 1 skill for this. So it would feel more versatile, reward good play, and be overall more interesting within the profession. PS: I hear the new warrior skill is bugged, and their quickness on banner use is a bit too low.
  21. It was delivered, but someone stole your package. Try buying the CCTV upgrade for your home instance. Then at least you can report them.
  22. Just grab a class like engineer or daredevil who has targeted leaps. Any difficult jump can be replaced with rifle 5 or staff 5. Good luck!
