Willbender is overtuned for WvW roaming

Nerfs that happened in pvp did not happen in WvW. 

This class is S+ overtuned.

1) superior mobility

2) superior one-shot burst and damage

3) great condi cleanse

4) passive evades / blocks and boon access

 

Anet please address this for October 4th. It is just too much

Powerwillbender struggles because everyone is rocking cele or trailblazer and the toughness compromises willbenders power immensly.

Celewillbender, relys on one condition and one condition only. Anything with a decent cleanse shouldnt struggle against it at all.

They get a lot of free hits with all their options of ports, blinds, evades and choosing when the exchanges happens while staying at a distance. They're a pain to go against as a melee warrior or glass warrior.

With thief at least, you can play a guessing game where they are in stealth and if your damage lands, the thief will be in trouble. Willbender gets to stay safe while being in front of your face lol.

Willbender is disgustingly strong and IMO one of the top roamers when it comes to actually fighting*, maybe only rivaled by a tempest/cata in terms of cele combined damage and sustain.

(*thieves doesnt count since they are cowards by nature)

Is it overtuned? That fully depends on your definition of balance. Its perfectly in line with other disgustingly strong builds.

Thats my point in those debates most of the time aswell...  while Willbender is undoubtably strong and in the right hands can hold its ground even in 1vX....   There is still atleast 5 builds that come to mind, that will perform on the same level or will perform even better then willybender.

I've had the best luck fighting them as Core Warrior, Power Untamed, Nade Holo, and Reaper. They have a very front loaded burst after that they are kinda meh.

WvW was never been balanced on roaming.

 

It is balanced on group plays. So asking for making WB less OP (if it is OP but for me its not), will be a dream one would keep on dreaming.

I mean those pulsing boons and defensive skills do have a cd afaik , so why would that be problematic to a thief that can stealth out and try again? Especially with boon strip and boon steal as part of your arsenal. Guardians don't have any boon strip or steal abilities.

Obviously you haven't been paying attention to the 28 June balancing rework gutting of thief stealth.
