Whenever I hop into WvW to do the quick dailies, I don’t see many people as it’s because they’re all part of a zerg that hops from map to map or a small team that roams. I’m on BG too if that matters.

Who's not going to respond?PvE/PvP folks tired of getting brow-beaten for even a mild suggestion that something be done differently.Folks who consider a Legendary "too much trouble", probably and specifically because of the WvW barrier.Players who would never consider a legendary for other reasons and thus have no reason to care about the Gift acquisition.

Also note a decent number of this incredibly small sample size are merely "okay" with it for some reason or another.

I spent two hours in one map this morning, not once did a zerg hop into the map, so i dont think its that, because ive seen that behavior too!

Curiously, I fall into this camp. My vote would be to leave the current GoB acquisition method AS IT IS. It's fine, and I loathe the activity. Not quite at "passion that burns with the fire of a thousand suns" level, but I'm really not fond of it. If I want to actually finish Howler (got the precursor in a chest somewhere a couple of years ago) to go alongside Rodgort as my second Legendary, I'll get off my duff and fidget my way to a second GoB. (My preferred schema is to alternate dolyak-escort and ruin-cap.)

I know. I specifically added that bit at the end of the post as a disclaimer that it’s not reliably representative. I don’t tend to trust online polls of any sort anyhow but that’s just me.

Back in the day you could only buy it for BoH. Those didn't drop as good as they do today. If you wanted to farm them, you had to complete the WvW JP and create a new character.Is the GoB a pain to get? Maybe for some players. But so is Map completion and some elements of the precoursor crafting system.Should it be changed? No.

Same, sort of. I don’t loathe WvW but I rarely go there as I know I’ll get roflstomped by anyone of at least average skill (and probably less). I still think it’s fine as is. If I ever decide to get a GoB I’ll get it by doing Monuments, killing vet mobs, big spender and occasionally tagging along with a zerg.

But, I'm hoping that the guild-oriented change happens pretty soon. I think it'll be a lot more tolerable to go through with guildies who aren't going to kitten me over by meandering all over, giving up, or sitting around. Bonus: I'll likely get grouped with all the other folks who hate WvW, and we can all mope around together. :P

I’m looking forward to the guild oriented changes too. When they do that WvW will be a lot more palatable for many people who don’t hate it but aren’t good enough to solo. Having 3 or 4 guildies to run with can make a big difference in enjoyability and make the GoB something that’s within reach. Of course it won’t help those who hate WvW but if they’re willing to do the non pvp dailies, even they can progress the track.

If we are going with 7 for WvW it is about 60 for core map completion. I think it can be gotten down to something like 20 hours but then wvw can be lowered down to 4 hours.

HoT can probably be done in 7 hours as well but that will depend on stuff.

Haven't paid any attention to time for PoF but it should be easier than HoT so the time should be equal or shorter.
