Ya'll know you can do this in the obsidian sanctum and armistice bastion right? It's not big deal during normal hours but primetime you see your BLs capped out but your outnumbered in field fights it raises a few question marks... Especially when you see goons off in the corners of the map nobody goes; slamming themselves into clusters by corners and impassible areas. Lol. Never done that so I have no clue, but I think after 15m of not gaining participation you wouldn't receive anything, so it is pointless to stay afk for hours to get pips. So I assume they are people reserving a spot in the map for later, as you say your server has some queue issues. PS: i know you/someone you know rocks with that particular 'unpopular' class but not many players are as pro as you or have as much time as you to become pro. they all pay the same amount of you and they want to participate in these kinds of events. 5. forcing players to use 3rd-party voice programs (and almost all commanders force it which is wrong) 6. ...and the best item is here: GIFT OF BATTLE. it can only be acquired through wvw and 2/3 of the realms have no life in mists or the local borderlands other than ebg. btw, gift of battle is a mandatory item for legendary weapons, which often becomes the main purpose of any newbie gw2 player after hearing these can be crafted. in addition to that, your prime time does not have to be same with another. for instance, gw2 europe stretches from portugal to kazakhstan and from siberia of russia to yemen, perhaps through all the middle east and all over the africa continent. long story short, wvw needs some love and attention. however the developers are too busy with periodically introducing new and 'shiny' items to black lion market which would only atract some end-game players alongside the skritt. this game is also harboring to some newbies, casuals, oldies but super casuals, testers, and returning players. they also need legendary equipment, therefore gift of battle, and they also want to see wvw operational. when they see it is not, they face towards a wall after escorting 2-3 dolyaks and press auto-move. emphaty my dear; change your perspective. better yet, change the devs; or at least the mentality. much love. Most of these "fight club guilds" are useless anyway.
