First season you couldn't but this season you an accept any AA reward if you are under 1300. I've been into at least the 1600s. They changed it some time ago that as long as you have below 1300 AA when you are claiming a WV reward, you can claim it even if it would put you above that value. The highest you could actually go would be somewhere above 1700 (when claiming weekly metareward at just below 1300 AA). Like I am genuinely curious how did this become a GW2 thing? I mean, no offense to the cat lovers; I do have some cats in my home instance and also picked up a few mini cats from festivals but I guess I must have missed the memo on how the cat chairs and cat outfits and stuff got so popular.
