They didn't say they would do it, they just said "Ideally it will be closer." And all of us that have been around long enough should have known that wasn't gonna happen.Additionally, even if they did do more balance patches, they would probably be low quality as well.It is time to move on to the acceptance phase mate.

sigh new games r coming out with high hopes and promises even WoW looks more tempting to go back at this point and tht is saying how poor the state of pvp/wvw is.

sigh... balance patches are never that anyway. It’s a little nerf here, a little buff there. Whatever they think it is that the loudest people here want. Then on to the next set of complaints for the next “balance” patch.

This "promise" is in the same corner, next to alliances.

I wish they kept to this. It didn't even have to be big patches like they said but even if just to take care of problematic stuff and test buff underused things in small but frequent patches. Playing the same Meta for months on end is boring.

Maybe I’m misremembering but weren’t there frequent balance patches in GW1? Like frequent patches to fix things and bigger patches every couple smaller patches to adjust the meta as a whole?

It has been mentioned that it'll ideally be every 4-6 weeks between changes for the sake of changes.It should be obvious that the ideal situation hasn't occurred and likely never will.

They didn't guarantee anything.They probably knew they wouldn't be able to get anywhere close to that time frame.

Keep in mind ESO has something similar to WvW... and it keeps frames reasonable with a good but dated LAPTOP.

Pretty sure balance is all but done for this game. They don't have enough people to do anything but work on the next pve update. They don't know their systems enough to balance them, and even if they did they fired everyone who knew how to manage the pve-pvp-wvw splits.

they dont really care for the competitive modes.. lets face it? who even play pvp? mostly bots.. and they dont complain about balance !the ones who still play.. use hacks.. so they also dont complain about balance. .they use hacks to bypass the balance!if they cared even alittle bit.. they would;ve done something about the bots and hacking..for got sake even wvw is being filled with hacks.. now days.. why? because its 0 risk..people flying in wvw and teleporting..balance? meh Anet dont know what is balance.. and they dont bother to learn because as said.. they just dont care about competitive modes..for them its only pve and gemstore.. wvw/pvp can die for them.. i start to consider goin on another game..

their balancings are crap anyways, u cannot balance some meta u have no clue of.

I think there was also a power struggle between competitive balance and QA/systems team where the competitive balance team was told to shove it and stop requesting changes.

pretty sure he still works there, thats what his linked in says. i think he got reassigned within anet or something.
