Yepp, kp.me is nothing new. Yet, until now you had mostly three different kind of lfgs for raids/strikes. The ones solely asking for LI/LD, the ones asking for KP and a few demanding a kp.me account. So while having a kp.me was convinient, not having one wasn't too a big of an issue. 

But with the change I expect a big increase in lfgs demanding a kp.me account and I don't think that will be good for the lfg nor was A.Nets intention...

The "core update" is most likely the balance update mentioned august 2nd, because if you look at the picture there is no "balance update". Note how the text for the July 19th update contain "World Boss Improvements, Raid Reward Changes, and Mistlock Instabilities Update" so we know that the "core update" isnt that. 

So to point out the obvious once again, there is no when for the WvW update.

I can also add that Anet had WvW restructure betas in the 2022 Spring update image too, yet no date listed in that list either. 

So yeah... No later than this final date. Lol.

I don't say thay do not deserve it. Just worrying that raids may meet the same fate as dungeons. Do certain part to unlock the reward and forget about it. For now to get PoF rewards you needed to participate in w5, w6, w7 bosses. After patch once you finish this wings once, you can for instance do escort and some easy bosses from w4 and w1. Was just thinking ANet should encourage players to get into all wings, not giving them more ways to avoid them, hope you get my point.

-  then radio silence for two years

You guys can complain about the lack of content once I stop seeing people complaining about pretty much every aspect of WvW and any form of solution to it. Lack of players and PvE players in WvW 30 seconds apart in EBG. Complaining about rewards, but don't add more rewards, because it will draw in farmers. So on. 
When you ask for an update, then proceed to complain about the update don't be suprised Anet just doesn't care about WvW.

Agree, I say from a perspective of a player that use kp.me so for me it's not a problem. But as you say, this changes will force even more squads to ask players for some outside website account, and I am aware that not everyone want to have X websites accounts only to get into certain game mode. So kinda think that this one might be a miss too.

You can get Gaeting Crystals just by doing River and Statues, they are Escort tier encounters.

Yes I can. Only river and statues fore some spare divinitions, and after growing an impressive beard I would finally get my shiny. So after some runs and gold lose for opener I would start doing SH to avoid looking for opener. After missing only one boss to clear w5 I would start clearing Dhuum. Dhuum is for some hardest encunter so maybe this would encourage me to kill easy Adina and Sabir and so on. Now you can accumulate nice amount of shards doing only certain easy encounters and totally avoid harder ones. Yes you could always do that but as you said if someone have nerve to do just the escorts than by all means they deserve rewards. Perhaps you are right, and I am actually really hoping you are and I am worrying about nothing. But just as I said, there are so many changes about raids lately, not all of them are seen as healthy for the game mode by the community.

It probably won't come during the summer because of this other stuff (LW chapters and we're not sure what the 10-year anniversary will bring), but more to the point during the summer vacation is probably not a good time to do this anyway. Unless you agree with me that : The intern forgot to clip the ‘WvW betas’ from the spring roadmap picture before pasting it to the summer picture?

 

Spring was to have a ‘beta’ for world restructuring.  Didn’t happen.  We were told that it didn’t happen because of the ‘queue bug’ which has been going on for 9 years.  That bug still isn’t fixed (spoiler:  it won’t get fixed) And yet, once again, betas are listed for the summer.

 

My frustration isn’t wit you or your question.  It’s with Anet effectively ignoring what they have called (and we don’t believe) a cornerstone mode.

Well I was responding to someone who said that it's been "officially abandoned". But something could still happen for WvW during the summer. Another beta would actually be ideal for the summer. Oh and btw I do spend a lot of time in WvW so I get where you're coming from. But don't forget, they said this as well:

We might still have a few surprises up our sleeve for the summer months!

So that might be referring to the next WvW beta as well. Who knows? And I mean there are some issues like the queue issue that they might want to fix but haven't got a fix for yet. So it might just be that they didn't mention it because they can't commit to it yet. I mean you do have to find the problem and find a fix for it that doesn't break anything else before you can commit to it.

I mean, I'd love to see something new for WvW but I've only been playing WvW actively for about 1.5 years now, so I haven't done it for 10 years like some other people.

Very happy to see world bosses getting some TLC although I do wish it was more of them.

A lot of the core world game needs improvements tbh but these 4 world bosses have long been some of the more outdated core world content.

Fire Elemental is a straight up joke at this point.. people burst it dead in seconds lol

And the Frozen Maw is notorious for obliterating framerates, I can't remember a time when encounters with that boss didn't see the chat having a lot of fun mocking the huge FPS drops lol

 

I'm pretty excited to run these bosses again after the change and see what improvements have been made to them.

I really wish we could complain about “changes designated for WvW” way more often. Like once in a year or two maybe? My condolences to PvP as well.

Do you recall their old balance changes, when they said it’s for PvE, it might or might not also apply to WvW, because WvW is not PvP? And when they said it’s for PvP, it might or might not also apply to WvW, because WvW is PvP? Glad that at least they made this clear in their patch note now. It was extremely confusing back then.

Have my fingers crossed that given the mini world boss revamp, and as a surprise, we may see Lorna's Pass get its own open world event on July 19th.

No need surely for us to instance-relive Twisted Marionette after next week, since it  will be restored to the public narrative...

Raids are abandoned and still being replaced with Strike Missions.
LW S6 is probably sometime during the fall and winter.

I think it's more likely that season 6 releases next year.

In Septembre, we get season 1 episode 4, so episode 5 might be around end of Novembre, if we are lucky.
