[Suggestions]QoL (Quality of Life) Ideas [Merged]

QoL Changes request

  1. Player to Player trading, only for tradable items*
  2. Mail and guild bank gold cap to be increased up to 16k gold monthly. (4k gold weekly). -16 times the gold! per month
  3. Ability to dye all visuals (From Commander tag to legendary trinkets, finishers, mail carriers, miniatures and novelties ).
  4. Titles that takes time and efforts to be obtained colored differently from normal ones, i.e: ( God/Goddess of PvP, WvW and Fractals, Envoy's Herald, God walking amongst mere mortals)
  5. Either implementing a 32/40 Legendary bag to be changed from invisible to leather freely as an example or  All Accountbound 32 bags to be exchange in mystic forge to be reforged into different type with extra materials into it: As an example: 3 crystal lodestone + 6 ley-infused sand +30 eye of kormir + 32-slot Marshal's locker output =>32-slot Hardened Leather Pannier -- both have some similar base materials in common. the only difference marshal's takes 12 Hardened Leather Section than leather.
  6. If player X is blocked from my list hide their character/name from the map and they can't see me either! even if we're in same map ip. ☠️

Thank you.

Hey Anet, would it be possible to add a graphics function to hide other players' infusions and back items? With more and more... lets call them "fancy" back items and infusions added to the game, the game really becomes an eyesore to look at. I really miss the old 2012 look of Guild Wars 2.

If I had the option to hide other players' back items and infusions, that would go a long way to get a bit of that 2012 feel back! Of course, it should be entirely optional. People should feel free to add as much "swag" to their "fashion wars" as they want, but I should also be free to disable that swag on my end on my monitor.

Anyone else feeling this way?

I welcome all options to disable all the eyesore other players seemingly enjoy murdering my eyeballs with.

I'd even be happy with the "standarised pvp models" for pve as well. I'm getting a bit tired of running the game with Number of quality models set to lowest/off, to make all other players appear as walking potato sacks.

Nope. I got more serious problems to focus on in my life. Some flashy pixels will not affect me.

A bizarre thing to say, since we aren't talking about your life or anyone else's, only whats happening in this game of "flashy pixels".

Hi. I'll start with mine, if you don't mind.

- Create a new "Outfit" tab and place Outfits there. Make the "Wardrobe" tab a place where you can save and store custom armor sets as well as their dyes so you can re-use them later in a fast and convenient fashion.

- Create new skills for weapons that we could choose instead of the default ones, thereby allowing some customization of the weapon skill slots whilst keeping them specific to that weapon. Don't let balance concerns get in the way of new options, customization and fun.

- Spear as a proper weapon option, and not just an underwater thing.

That's mostly it for me. What about you?

Alliances when memes. 😄

In all seriousness, for a game named Guild Wars they should support GvG indirectly or directly and bring us the 15v15 custom arena PvP that was supposedly in development as well. The recent announcement yesterday regarding EotM arena is a step in the right direction.

Right now WvW is the only game mode that is unique (which is why people claim New World will replace it). The rest hinges mainly on the combat system. PvP as esports sort of died but they're trying to revive it with Tournament of Legends' return. PvP had potential (because you can start on day 1 without gearing much like GW1) but it was squandered due to rebalance timeliness and a host of other problems such as certain top players gaming matchmaking , botters, match throwing , etc.

It is highly likely while living world is profitable for them indirectly , instanced PvE is probably not. We also know that while fractals have high uptake (do to tiering), raids do not which is why strikes were put in. DRMs along with the new Dragonstorm shows us the technology is there to scale instances all the way from 1 player to 80 players. Hardcore oriented PvE in a casual-accessible oriented game along with a more action focused combat system that you can't outgear to win is basically opposite to popular MMOs where you outgear if you don't have the ability.
-----

If you mean more mundane , small things:
* full width character select to reduce scrolling
* ability to hide legendary trinket effects

I want random effects in game. Like, some times the bank in lions arch is closed, or repair stations can only temporarily repair certain armour, or introduce conditions for your mounts where you might be dismounted for being a heavy armor user, or when you log in heart of thorns zones, sylvari players take damage now and again. I have plenty more ideas but you probably get the gist.

I would really love to see some attention to underwater playability. It's quite limited and horrid, and a shame because there is a lot of under used content. Perhaps have some underwater specific traits separate from the main specialisations.

Fix the original story. It's boring as hell. There is no Replay value. Either that or just make all the cut scenes skippable.

Dungeons... What is the point? Why not have something similar to the metas and do away with them?

Living world has some awesome zones that are locked away. Open these up as explorable zones. It's a shame. Wasted content.

Yeah. Why not?

Good QoL idea.

100% Yes.

I want that too.

Oh yeah.

I want that spear for Guardians and Warriors.

● Also a scythe.

● Also a Ritualist.

● More pvp modes, such as capture the flag, Jade Quary and Fort Aspenwood.

● Please also bring back the Islands, such as Temple of Balthazar, Embark beach, etc...

● I want human hair for sylvari.

● More character creation options, such as mini skirts for females; and more clothes for med armour.

Please no more buttcapes... no thank you.

Proper bettle racing maps, please gt* away from open world.

● Mercs

● Please make Kamadan good again. The meta can be moved somewhere else.

I remember expecting that to be the case way back when I playtested the game at Gamescom.. I was really disappointed when I found out you can't customize the weapon skills.

Yeah, it's especially noticeable on 2H weapons. At least, if I don't like focus spells, I can pick up a torch. With a staff of greatsword, you're stuck with it all.

Slider to adjust visibility of my character’s spell effects.

Slider to adjust visibility of other players’ spell effects.

Slider to adjust visibility of all other visual effects.

The visual clutter and painfully bright flashing lights kill this game for me.

You forgot to add: "Hide allies' AoE rings" option.

You gamers find the strangest things in life to complain about. You know... small things.

I notice that alot here in GW2 community.

Hi! Since i enjoy a game a lot from a several accounts, there are still some things i would like to see. Hope i'm not the one looking for it and someday devs will at least consider some of those.

   1) Implementing some ingame visuals for Toggle Autotargeting option

Since this option and its hotkey became real, its now much easier to play the game, especially in PvP. Charging with 'No Autotargeting' as a Warrior or Reaper somewhere 1200 units away from a target is priceless in terms of escaping. But since active Autotargeting is still very important and there is no any visual indicating of it being active or not, it would be awesome to see such an indicator.

   2) Implementing some ingame visuals for Snap Ground Target option
Same goes for this option in terms of for much easier aoe spelling, especially in PvE. For example, as a support Scrapper i want to use my Function Gyro onto nearby allies or far away downed players while other abilities, like Grenade Barrage, i want to see snapped in the very center of boss' hitbox. I can switch it with hotkey, but not having an indicator is a problem.

   3) Implementing a keybinds for Ground Targeting modes

There are 3 modes in ingame options available for Ground Targeting: 'Normal', 'Fast with Range Indicator' and 'Instant'. The need of switching those options is not that urgent as for the other 2 options, mentioned above, but each time i switch to Engineer or start a Fractal as any class with a lot of targetable aoe spells, like Scourge, i prefer the 'Instant' mode because of a lot of spammable aoes. Always having the 'Normal' option may lead to a minor heal/dps loss and always having 'Fast with Range Indicator' might cause a miss if not snapped to target, which is not always clear (see paragraph 2).
Keep in mind, that an 'Instant' mode might cause a lot of misses because of problems, stated in paragraph 1 and 2.

   4) Implementing a clickable interface buttons for all the options, mentioned above

There are some clickable interface buttons/indicators, like spell buttons, dodge bars, Hunter's pet buttons, etc, which i rarely click directly, because most of them have a comfy keybinds, but there are still people, who do not use hotkeys at all. That's why it would be really joyful to have few more indicators and would be even better to have an option to show/hide them for those, who do not want it.

Again, we're not complaining about Life, we're talking about a Game, on a Game forum, with other Gamers.

So what the hell are you doing here?  Cause it only looks like you're trolling to me.

Make more items go into material storage or wallet as appropriate. A few that come to mind:

1. various middle items in crafting - dowels, staff head, axe blade etc

2. more festival items - baubles and bauble bubbles, favors of the festival/pavilion

3. Various mystic forge items - philosopher stones, mystic crystals, mystic forge stones

4. various legendary mid-tier parts - gifts of battle, gifts of X in general

5. The flowers for craftable primers - ascalonian royal irises, koda's blossom petals, etc

6. More keys - Tarnished Key, Key of Greater Nightmares, Complete Aetherkeys, Ornate Rusted Keys,

We have scrolls and tomes for teleportation - can we get a single item "library" that combines them all? LS3, LS4, IBS, Mistlock, Armistice Bastion, Lily of the Elon, Spearmarshal's Plea, Home Portal, Invitation to the party, World Boss Portal, Maguuma Pact Operations Portal Device, Hall of Monuments, Exalted Portal Stone, etc

Same for converters - Star of Gratitude, Princess, Glean of Sentience, Mawdrey II, Herta, Portable Composter, etc.

Same for Gizmos (a better way to manage/use them) - Snowflake Gobbler, Candy Corn Gobbler, Permanent Portable Provisioner
