He rarely wears shoes in real life (hence the Twitter handle) and goes without them in games whenever possible. He'd tried to persuade Anet to add a check box to hide shoes but for whatever reason he was turned down, so someone decided to help him out by creating the invisible shoes as a work-around and managed to get those approved and into the game.Incidentally when he was laid off he joked that the best thing about it was not having to wear pants. Maybe that can be inspiration for a new project: invisible pants?

Dami.5046
I think Anet lost a lot of 'passion' of the game on the lay offs, so it nice to know they are bringing some back.
