Allow us to sell WvW currencies on Trading Post for Gold

You can already sell Badges of Honor by turning 20 of them into a Tribute of Honor. They're needed for siege crafting and last time I sold mine they went for around 20 silver each.

Edit:"Badge of Tribute", Guild Hall NPC and currently around 12 silver 50 copper. 30 Badges each

You can also use a conjunction of the currencies to buy ascended armor, weapons, trinkets and ascended salvage kits to salvage all bought items and sell the results, so in a way all the currencies are already sellable it just takes work and sometimes luck for the biggest profits.

Need more gold to buy gems to transfer.There are plenty of ways to acquire gold (or gems).

Plus as noted, you can easily monetize badges of honor. Testimonies can also be monetized by using them to buy siege.

Much as I might lament not having enough time to farm pvp shards and wvw skirmish tickets, i would hate if ANET made them buyable on the Trading Post.

these u mean? cus beside the shard of glory i dunno what else u get from pvp..but memory of battle is sell able also.

You can make money from the following "currencies" or items in WvW:

  • Memories of Battle
  • Badge of Honor x 30 -> Badge of Tribute
  • Skirmish Chest -> unid dyes
  • Testimony of Heroic x 75 -> Superior Sigil of Frenzy

idk there might be others but those come to mind when needing a bit of quick gold if you don't use em'.

I only say no because I know if they did that to help PvE players aquire things then they won't show WvW players the same courtesy and put fractal, dungeon or raid stuff on the TP aswell.

It would be very 1 sided.

It would be nice to sell PvP amd WvW potions though, sort of have thousands of those.

Yeah really bad idea since you can buy Ascended items with them.

Most currencies should be tradable. Especially the PvE map tokens that come with every living world release.

I would make an exception for WvW Skirmish tokens. Sometimes it is nice when a reward is linked to an achievement, and for the WvW ascended and legendary armors it is suitable that you require a player to have played some actual WvW. Even if it is just repairing keeps or escorting dollies.

Just no, almost all legendaries already are " open your wallet and here is your legie". At least for wvw legendary armor/trinket you really have to go and play the game to get the stuff (even if it is just cap a camp every 10min), selling skirmish tickets on TP would just turn this into another gold rush.

What shiny cool pve skins are not available via reward tracks?

I would presume raid skins, fractal skins.

Then presumably the OP would also have to be okay with raiders, fractalers, and open worlders being able to unlock hero's mistforged skins & gen 2 legendary weapons, without setting foot in WvW. Good for the goose and all.

I'm personally in favor of a limited number of skins that are exclusive to different game modes and objectives. I think it makes the game more fun, adds flavor to the incentives/rewards for playing more parts of the game. Still, if someone wants to propose removing exclusivity, then it's only fair that it be consistent for everyone.
