Out of the minis you have, what is your favourite mini, and why?

Recommended Posts

I choose a specific one for each character. However, my absolute favourite is https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Lavish_Black_Llama. All those PvP matches just to get this mini! And the first and only time I saw it was in WvW (naughty person who didn't have their mini hidden).

Minis are the real endgame. I would love to know your favourites, and if there is a story behind them.

I enjoy equipping my engineer fitting for the thematic of the build.

Currently, I mostly switch between 3 different builds:

  • double pistols with elixirs and flamethrower (the "alchemist")
  • scrapper with gyros and bombs (the "mechanic")
  • holosmith with exceed skills

Each of these builds has an own armor that fits their thematic and one mini associated with them:

  • alchemist -> mini primatic ooze
  • mechanic -> mini twisted mender (fits the mechanical aspects and also fits the gyros in general, since it also is a helicopter)
  • holosmith -> mini holographic scarlet (loved her as a character and what would be more fitting for a holosmith than having a holo mini?)

Definitely Mini Storm Imphttps://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Storm_Imp

Its glowing green color perfectly fits the Toxic items collection glowing green color, especially on necromancers, where entire class, its skills buttons and some skill effects are themed around green color.for example:https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Toxic_Gloves_Skin(atm there are 4 items in Toxic armor collection, maybe other will be added in the future)

Imps also fits the necromancers for another reason - in GW2 lore, imps are demonic creatures originated from the Mists, who are consuming magic attuned to their element - see the similarity to necromancers?

It just fits together perfectly. :p <3

I often match Mini to the color theme of my characters; except my Main which deploys whatever seems cool to me at the time.I have several favorites; I usually avoid the mini-NPC character ones, though there are some exceptions.

I just ordered the Funko PoP Aurene; if it comes with the in-game code for the Mini Funko Pop Aurene, that may become my current 'favorite', as it seems really cute.

For a common mini, the Twisted Mender is highly underrated. It glows, has a sound effect with its little blades spinning 'round, and plays this cool animation when it first spawns where it starts off as a little pile of broken metal and then builds itself. I've used it for years.

Chickenado is great too, only because it's so dang silly.

I was so excited when they introduced that one, I made a mad dash to get that achievement.

I think my favorite was the 1st mini I unlocked: about 2-3 weeks after starting the game, I believe I got a Wardrobe Unlock from a BL chest (back then, everything was a mystery to me) and it unlocked the Mini Puppy (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Puppy).

These days I don't bother running around with minis since I have to disable them in WvW anyways.

All of my minis have a RP connection to the character that uses them.

  • My ranger has a fiery "killer of Balthazar" kind of theme, so he has a Hound of Balthazar mini following him around.
  • My Asura mesmer has the GOX mini golem. She found it in Rata Arcanum, and now it's her personal assistant. She's Priory, so she likes the old historic golem style.
  • My tempest has Meteorlogicus and a mini air elemental.
  • My SAB themed warrior has a bee dog.
  • My Sylvari guardian has a mini of the Pale Tree. You could think of it as their Dream connection, but the way she keeps saying "Execute Order 66" is rather unnerving.
