The Return to PoF

Soooo, what are you guys doing to fill your new mastery? Anything interesting? Desert maps are not my favorite, so I am looking for reasonably fun activities to fill the new XP bar.

So far I have done a couple of metas, returned to Kourna (my least-played map so far) and got a gold in Beetle Training, and now am finishing off the in-map requirements for the Commander backpack. Still only half way.

Remember, Season 4 also gives you PoF experience. You can do metas in the other maps as well. Try looking for whatever map is the daily. There's the Shatterer event in Jahai, Palawadan, I even like the quicker meta in Kourna. The truth is I don't really dislike any of the Season 4 zones. Anet just said they did some work in Thunderheaad Peakes, so maybe the North and South meta are more playable now. I enjoyed those as well. And I always have fun in Dragonfall.

Like Vayne said, I didn't really think of this until I had about 25% left, but went to Dragonfall yesterday to finish up with some dailies there. The first 75% I did in Vabbi, with a character who hadn't completed the map yet, and there happened to be a champ train starting, and I still needed a lot there, so I rode the champ train for quite awhile. I was a little stressed about it, but it mostly just worked out doing things I like to do. Oh, also did a Casino and big Cactus man at the end.

I farmed the LS4 daily chests so I could instantly complete the mastery. If you’re going to farm XP, do events that have a lot of mobs such as the Istan ones and and the specimen one in Sandswept.

I ran some PoF meta's then some bounties and it was pretty much done after that.Boosters helped a bit too.

Put on a couple of Boosters and Banners; joined a Bounty Train, and was done in less than 3 hours (over 2 days).

I flew around Jahai in the air collecting Volatile Magic until they disappeared. Got about 500k there. Did some random events I came across on some PoF maps. But eventually started doing the hero points that are repeatable to finish it up.

Saw someone in another thread mention doing the same thing at Thunderhead Peaks. That'll be my plan.

I ended up finishing while helping with a few bounties, doing a Casino Blitz, and hopping on a zerg for Palawadan. Still have one Inquest cannon to destroy for Gendarran medal!

Picked up the last 250k I needed in Dragonfall in about the first half of the meta - I literally popped into a map about 2 minutes before the meta started, talk about perfect timing!

To start, though, I started the PoF story on another character that hadn't completed it yet. While collecting the vlast crystals in Desert Highlands, I went ahead and map completed DE on that toon and helped out with the 2nd Spear escort that people were trying to do for the griffon collection.

Thanks to a reminder from another player, I went to Thunderhead Peaks and ran the Magic Motes (not the official name) course with a couple of alts. Quick and easy although not necessarily fun.

I did the Dragonfall meta (from when you start building up the camps to the final assault on Kralkatorrik and the boss train afterwards, with little extra events in between) once with a Birthday XP booster (+100% Exp) and a Heroic booster (+50% Exp) active and i was done.

I'm just leveling it up on characters that never did pof.. then getting out of there.. The forged and awakened are way too annoying to deal with.. HoT2.0.

Doing all the Heropoints in PoF with a Necro that did not have his Elite Mastery yet. Necro now has become Scourge, unlocked all the waypoints and a large part of PoF and got the Skimmer Diving skill.

Finished up the skyscale rifts achieve In pof and ls4. There’s one rift in dragon fall that is 100+ motes = 250k xp.

initially i did the casino blitz a couple of times, but that got boring fast. the quickest way i found was doing adventures like the griffon expert and mastery ones, because i barely touched them when i was playing of originally. Got me a full mastery bar very quickly with little effort and a little bit of fun.

I did a mix of bounties, HPs on a character that needed them anyway, and skscale rifts in relevant maps. With just a birthday booster the 2mil xp came surprisingly quickly.

I did a couple casino blitzes (and ate the coins afterward), a handful of bounties, a few hearts (renown heart mount treats also give XP once a day!), flew thru lots of shiny balls in Thunderhead, map completed Istan on an alt, and incidentally got some PoF/LS4 daily chests from doing all of the above.

I forgot to use boosters because I'm a disaster, but even so it only took 2-3 days.

Gotta admit I do wish there was an easy, fast PoF meta that gives boatloads of PoF XP the way Octovine gives boatloads of HoT XP. Octovine was my bro when I was leveling HoT masteries.
